$30,000 to projects supporting struggling artists by Helena from Record Union @RecordUnion
In a recently conducted study with almost 1,500 Record Union users and independent music makers, 73 percent claim to suffer from symptoms of mental illness.
To take action, Record Union is donating $30,000 to enable projects that aim to prevent or treat mental illness among music makers. Are you or someone you know working on a project like this?
For a long time, we have been bothered by what seems to be an increasing amount of music makers suffering from mental illness. To investigate our thesis, we’ve asked almost 1500 independent music makers about their mental health and the results are disheartening. Read the full report on www.the73percent.com. We want to get everyone talking. Something needs to change and it’s time to put the state of our artist’s mental health on the agenda, before streams and commercial success. The music industry needs to wake up.
We want to create a healthier music climate, but we need YOUR help to do it!
