Every Tuesday of the month, 6:30pm
Join us on the Midtown Houston YouTube channel for
a total workout, combining all elements of fitness - cardio,
muscle conditioning, balance, flexibility, and boosted
VIRTUAL Samba Class
Second Thursday of the month, 7pm
Learn a popular Brazilian dance style during this
exciting class on our YouTube channel. The
class is free and open to all skill levels. Instruction is
provided by the Brazilian Arts Foundation.
VIRTUAL Beats & Eats
Second Friday of the month, 6:30pm
Join our virtual party on the Midtown YouTube channel featuring
live music from Country music star Max Finn. Guests are
encouraged to support local restaurants during the event.
VIRTUAL Family Capoeira
Third Saturday of the month, 10am
Learn a unique Afro-Brazilian martial art on
Midtown's YouTube channel that
develops discipline, coordination, strength, and rhythm.
Instruction is provided by the Brazilian Cultural Institute and
is open to all on our website.
Midtown Redevelopment Authority has partnered with
the Midtown Management District Urban Planning Committee to
implement a Pedestrian Safety Enhancements pilot project. The
Brazos/ St. and Webster St. intersection and the Elgin St. and
Jackson St. intersection were selected as the two initial pilot
locations for installation of crosswalk and curb enhancements
intended to improve visibility by shortening crossing distances
and tightening corner radii. Please complete the survey by May
28th to help us plan for future pedestrian safety enhancements.
The office will remain open and function at its
regular capacity. Please note that there are no visitors
allowed in the office and all meetings or interactions
will take place virtually, by phone or email. Contact the office

Midtown Houston Parks
In accordance with the City of Houston, the
playground at Midtown Park is now open for public use. Remember
to continue to follow CDC guidelines, wear masks, and adhere to
the appropriate social distancing guidelines.
