Music Review referred by One Submit - Cute Funeral by The Sleeping Cliffs #Rock

Listen on Apple Music

Based in the sprawling Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, ‘The Sleeping Cliffs’ is a solo studio project from multi-instrumentalist Todd Glidewell. Combining elements of indie, post-rock, alternative, funk, jazz-fusion and ambient electronica, The Sleeping Cliffs produce emotive, cinematic, and instrumental songs.

Though not boxed in by any one genre, the songs share an undertow of gritty bass lines, layers of fuzzy guitar, unexpected brass, and big rock drums. ‘Cute Funeral” is an unkempt instrumental amalgam of Electronic Rock, Left-field IDM and good old fashion Blues Rock. There’s hints of Ratatat, The Black Keys, and Jon Spencer reflected throughout the song, but its own voice loudly clamors through it’s rhythmic mix of funk bass, bar room pianos, Dixieland horns and fuzz drenched guitars.

Mr No Weapon Introduction #BMI #SingerSongwriter #RnB #Soul #Louisiana #LA

The name Mr No Weapon was created after he suffered a broken femur due to an Motorcycle accident that happened April 22. 2012  so he connected with the Bible Verse Isaiah 54:17.

King James Version of Isaiah 54:17 reads as follows, "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn."

Some might say that this verse means that God is stating that anyone who is seeking to do evil against believers will fail. While others might say that it means that nothing, that the enemy tries to use against us will work.

Mr No Weapon-The Prince of the Talk box  Is Back, and he is bolder than ever especially with his "Can I Flip You Upside Down?". He brought the song to LIFE with the visual on YouTube and I can tell you now both females and males will love watching the video. WARNING - You will not be able to just watch it once!

"Can I Flip You Upside Down?" has the same melody as "It Seems Like You're Ready" by R. Kelly and also has some similarity to "Computer Love" by Zapp & Roger as Mr No Weapon used a talk box in this music release.

The Host of LHMPR Radio Podcast's overall opinion is this: If there were a merger between "It Seems Like You're Ready" and "Computer Love" the new product would produce "Can I Flip You Upside Down?" by Mr No Weapon.

When the Host of LHMPR Radio Podcast asked Mr No Weapon what influenced the creation of "Can I Flip You Upside Down?" Here is Mr No Weapon's exact response  "I'm 6' 3", a woman approached me while walking in Walmart and she was shorter than myself, she looked me up and down as if to undress me with her eyes and said, "I bet I flip you upside down!" I laughed as I kept walking but months later, I wrote a song about it encounter but changed to the situation to a man's point of view and titled it "Can I Flip You Upside Down"

You'll find Hopkinson's beautifully crafted songs at home on playlists beside the likes of Taylor Swift, OneRepublic, ColdPlay, and London Grammar. Think "Cinematic Pop Mix", "Work From Home", or "Soothing Mix". He was recently supported by the New York Times being added to The Morning Spring 2023 playlist.

World class collaborators George Merrill (BoyMeetsGirl/Whitney Houston) and Steve Wilmot (OneRepublic/U2/Peter Gabriel) bring his melodic storytelling music to life.

Classically trained in Sydney, Australia from the age of 10, he found his way into bands and songwriting in the late 90's recording his first solo album 'Class Clown' with piano genius and producer Rick Melick and members of The Angels in 2001.

Securing management with Graham Fear and Mark O'Donnell (Faith No More/Rage Against The Machine) and production opportunities in Los Angeles he moved there to live and work. Over several years he and George Merrill carved out 'Strangers To Ourselves' which was released in 2009 and won the DIY Album of the Year in Hollywood.

Hopkinson became a regular at Sunset Strip venues like The Hotel Cafe, Genghis Cohen, and the Viper Room. He ran a song circle for Australian Songwriters called Oz City and became well respected in the music community for providing a platform of opportunity for artists outside of his own career. In 2011, he moved back home. This time, settling in Melbourne to start a tech company and raise a family.

Chance Motta was born in Seattle, WA in 1988 and began playing any instrument he could find at the age of 13. Starting off with a taste for heavy and fast music such as bands like Greenday, Rancid, Anti-Flag, and other rock bands Chance saved up for a guitar and jammed with friends in a punk band teaching himself to play guitar, bass, drums and keyboard. Through the computer he began messing around with home recording learning to layer instruments together for different sounds making some industrial songs for fun and over time through life change he grew a love for the acoustic guitar, it's feeling of freedom and independence of not needing a full band to sound complete.

Chance Motta began writing some acoustic songs and eventually playing them at a local coffee house at the age of 16 and continued playing for fun for the next two years. After some life changes and moving around the country in 2007 Chance started to play a lot of online shows on second life gaining a small fan base and drive to do more with music. In December of 2008 Chance Motta flew to Greensville, Il to record his first fully produced album "Whispering Shadows" that combines his wide mix of influences and a creative production style. Through the years his influences have grown to include bands in genres of punk, metal, goth, classic rock, emo, and even some country. As well as being a musician Chance spends his spare time writing poetry and stories publishing his first poetry book in 12th grade. He believes music should be a passion and evoke an emotion causing the audience to feel something, writing songs from his own pain and joy with a sometimes dark lyrical style.

In 2011 Chance enrolled in school for music production at Full Sail University, where he will obtain a bachelor's in music production. Upon graduation he plans to finish his next album and begin heavy touring. You can find out more by visiting his website www.chancemotta.com
